Social Life: A MMRPG
October 16th 2006 05:06
In society, people have some roles that are given to them by the conventions. It's like a role-playing game, a massive multiplayer role-playing game. Roles may fit or may not fit to each and every individual. But, one way or another you must fit into one of the stereotypes. You must wear the mask that has been chosen for you, and wear it all the time. I mind you, all of your life!
That is not a simple trick to do if you are not happy with the role you are given. You must pretend to act like one, though you are not happy with the situation at all. On the other hand, if you are not happy with the role you have, that is a sign of wisdom. It shows that you can not easily be shaped like clay or some sort.
But, if you have some friends, some real friends, you know that you can throw your masks away when you are by their side. You can not see the eye of a friend through the mask you wear. You can not see his/her smile. It's a chamber that you are naked, a glass you pour your inner soul, a place like home.
Friendship is haven for the tired players, for the wise ones.
